News Update 6/01/10: Sporting wins Cerritos Memorial Cup!

What a tough an awesome game the Sporting 93 team had this past weekend. Not only did our team have a great weekend but our entire club made an impact at the Norcal Premier State Cup Finals by sweeping with the 91,93,94,and 95 boys titles. The game for the Sporting 93 boys was a hard one as they battled throughout. The Atletico Santa Rosa team opened up the score and managed to finish the first half winning 2-0. During the second half the Sporting team responded by 2 great goals by Jesus Sanchez and 1 by David Perez with 2 minutes to go of regular time. The Sporting 93 boys are now double State Cup champs managing to win the CYSA and US Club Soccer State titles.

Sporting 93 wins 4th State Championship

Sporting 93 boys dominated all throughout in the State Cup Championship match. They opened the game up in the first minute after Andre Alvarez made the first goal with a great header off a corner kick by Carlos Gavino. The second goal came in the second minute of the match with a shot from Julio Morales. Also scoring were, Juan Velasquez, Carlos Gavino, and Gabriel Borges. The game ended with a final score of 6-1. Congrats to the Sporting boys as they clinch a spot in the Far West Regionals tournament in June.
